Most of the Ashthwarga plants are native to the Himalayan region, and some are now considered endangered due to overharvesting and habitat loss. Jeevak and Rishabhak are the two plants that come under Ashthwarga
Jeevak and Rishabhak, both these medicinal plants are produced on the peak of Himalayas. The tubers of both of them are like the tubers of garlic and are fruitless and the leaves are small. The shape of Jeevak is like a brush and Rishabhak is like the horn of a bull.
