In all types of heart diseases, its bark should be cooked in milk by Ksheerpak method and given.

Giving it in Raktapitta is beneficial as it causes contraction of blood vessels and increases blood coagulation due to calcium present in it.

It is used externally and internally in wounds, fractures, swelling etc. Special- There is considerable difference of opinion between ancient and new Acharyas regarding the actions of Arjun.

Modern scientists are of the opinion that its effect is only due to the Calcium and organic acids present in it. Detailed research is necessary in this regard. It is possible that Arjun is some other tree other than Terminalia. From this point of view, it is necessary to think about the Jarul tree mentioned along with Tinish, which is sometimes called Arjun. Acharya Priyavratji calls its synonym Kakubh as T. myriocarpa Heurck & Muell.-Arg. and Acharya Dalhan considers Sugandhmool Kakubh as Lactuca serriola Linn. and L. indica Linn. (Kahu)
