It is cultivated in almost all the provinces.
In case of hemorrhoids, it is fed with butter and after grinding and heating, fomentation is done with it.
If there is indigestion after eating fish, its panchaang’s kshar is given. In case of abdominal pain, sesame is ground with aromatic substance and given in the form of a tablet. Sesame keeps teeth strong.
In case of cough, sesame decoction mixed with sugar is given. In case of dry cough, fresh leaves’ cold infusion (Heem) is given in small quantities.
In urinary stones, sesame kshar is given with milk and honey.
Its poultice is tied on the wound. Its oil is also used for applying on the wound.
