Director’s Message

Medicinal plants are one of the precious gifts of nature which are in use for the treatment of a number of diseases from primitive times. Even today, approximately 75% of population of our country which lives in rural and remote areas is very much dependent on medicinal plants. Medicinal plants refer to using a plant’s seeds, berries, roots, leaves, bark or flowers for medicinal purposes. Our main mission is to collect medicinal plants and learn their medicinal properties from our Ayurvedic samhitas and Nighantu.
